speaking, may I take your order?

There's a very large amount of weird, funny and interesting things on the internet. Apparently I'm better at weeding through the crappy sites and finding good ones than most people are, so put my abilities to good use by visiting some of these handy links:

Webcomics

Despite the curt descriptions, I like all of the comics listed here. And I've read a lot of comics, so I oughts ter know what I'm talking about.

Penny Arcade - Best damn gaming comic ever. You go there now.
Megatoyko - Nice manga-style webcomic about an Otaku and his nutbar friend trapped in Tokyo.
Sluggy Freelance - Have 12 hours to kill? Read the archives of Sluggy Freelance.
Something Positive - Verbose comic that is definitely not afraid to deal with taboo subjects. Not for kids, but they probably wouldn't get it anyway.
MacHall - My favorite comic for the sheer quality of the drawing, as well as for its creative use of Carl Sagan books.
Strings of Fate - Absolutely gorgeous comic with a great story based on Chinese mythology.
Scary Go Round - I used to like Bobbins, but John Allison's newest creation is of a much finer vintage.

Comedy

Good sites with lots to read (or watch). Humor tends to fall into either the sarcastic/bitter or absurdist categories.

Seanbaby - The funnies human being on Earth is Sean Reily, but his updates have sadly been reduced to a trickle.
The Onion - In these troubled times, reading the Onion is a reminder that many people are thinking the same things that I am, only they're writing funny newspaper articles as a result. Quite comforting, nontheless.
Homestar Runner - My favorite site of 2003, hands down. I can't explain it, just don't visit unless you have at least an hour to kill.
The Brunching Shuttlecocks - This comedy site is now defunct, but the archives are all available for perusing.

Video Games

Gamespot - It's a game review site with quality control! The only reviews I ever bother reading are found here.
Zophar's Domain - Want to see what I'm talking about with all those 10 year old SNES games? These people will put you on the path to true emulation.
Old Man Murray - Not updated very often, but worth a look through the archives if nothing else.
Quarter to Three - Another rarely updated site, but the reviews are highly efficient, and the Shoot Club archives are brilliant.

News

I don't read the news. I read Memepool.
